Yes, the Braves have been the best two-out hitting team in the majors this season. But even they have limitations in that department. They rallied for two runs with two out in the ninth inning Saturday night against the Los Angeles Dodgers, but Edgar Renteria grounded out with two runners on base to end a 6-3 Braves defeat at Turner Field. "Just to have a chance to win at the end was pretty good," said Braves starter Tim Hudson (3-1), who gave up three runs and seven hits in eight innings for his first loss in eight career starts against the Dodgers.
