OF Jason Heyward underwent successful appendectomy surgery Monday night (April 22). Procedure performed at Rose Medical Center in Denver.

A little bit of time away from the game might turn out to be a good thing for him

This is silly. His strikeout percentage is lower than his career rate; he's drawing walks at higher than his career rate; he's hitting line drives at significantly higher than his career rate. He's fine; the balls he hits just aren't dropping in.

Pastonicky called up to take Heyward's roster spot.

"Braves plan to use Schafer and Reed Johnson in RF, keep Justin Upton in LF while Heyward's out, Fredi G said."

I had an emergency appendectomy. I was lifting and running in two weeks.

Heyward should be good to go.

Uggla is doing the same thing... it is still a problem.
