Not easy on the ol skeletal system
I’m really having to make a conscious and concerted effort to focus on mobility. My back is just about gone and I could probably be justified in electing to have a fusion done now. Part of the reason I want to go ahead and do this marathon.

I need to spend a lot more time on my inversion table.

I used an inversion table a few times. Are they worth it? I have some disc issues in my lower back.

The best therapy I’ve found is an actual decompression table in a chiropractor’s office. But the inversion table is probably the next best thing and they aren’t that expensive. They do take up a little room, though.

Yesterday was the first day I didn’t want to run but did it anyway. 3.75

this is a “recovery” week in that the long run drops from 8 to 4 before building back to 8 next week and 10 the week after.

My chiropractor has what I can a wave table. It has rollers underneath and stretches the lumbar out. Hips to neck. The best

Plans went south today with meetings running long at work. Unable to get the run in outside before dark. Supposed to rain all day tomorrow, so I buckled in for all 9 on the treadmill tonight.

Terrible. But I got it done.

Hope you have a TV in there. Tread better on the joints

There’s a marathon in Memphis every year benefitting St Jude. They do a half and a full. My problem has always been that it’s in December and it almost always rains/sleets/snows and I couldn’t think of anything more miserable than trying to run in that.

However, I’d still like my marathon effort to benefit St Jude. What I’m kicking around doing is taking donations and matching $1 for $1 whatever people give. I have no experience with go fund me or anything else like that. I can just set up a Venmo, I’m a reasonably trustworthy guy, but does any else have any ideas?

This is a killer idea. I don’t know how to help you set that up, but I’m happy to make a big donation.

I’m down to throw some bills at this
