Redman rocked, Paronto injured

The Braves considered themselves fortunate to sign pitcher Mark Redman for just $750,000 in the middle of spring training. But Friday night, he looked like something found at the bottom of a discount bin. The left-hander gave up five runs in the first inning of an ugly 11-4 loss to the Florida Marlins in a series opener at Turner Field, where many in a crowd of 33,212 booed Redman ... and Jeff Francoeur ... and Macay McBride.... It was that kind of night for the Braves (7-3), who lost their second in a row after a four-game winning streak, and were embarrassed for the second time on the homestand — both times on Friday night, both times with Redman pitching.

strained groin for Paronto. That's not good. What do we know about Peter Moylan?

Isn't that the guy from Austalia?

I'm not quite ready to panic on Redmond yet. He wasn't brought in to win 20 games or anything. He's a 5th starter who is supposed to eat innings. I still think he can do that.

I don't know. I'm kind of agreeing with the "bottom of the discount bin" analogy at this point. :)
